🌟 Special congratulations to Jaeyoung Cho, who earned the prestigious Outstanding Performer Award for his performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto, Movement IV. Jaeyoung is only the second cellist in program history to receive this honor, making his achievement especially remarkable.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Nolan Middle School's 8th Grade Theatre Showcase Night! This collection of student-written plays had something for everyone. This Saturday, students from eleven middle schools competed in the first ever Middle School Theatrical Design Contest. Students created designs for Homer's "The Odyssey" in costume, hair and makeup, marketing or scenic design. Students presented their overall design ideas to our panel of high school theatre directors who provided feedback on their ideas. Students each received a rating on their work. We are thrilled that 26 students from 9 middle schools received the top rating of exemplary! Congratulations to everyone who participated. On Wednesday night students from Chaparral High School and Harker Heights High School joined students from across the Central Texas Region to celebrate their work in musical theater at the 2026 Heller Awards. These prestigious awards recognize the best of the Region in Musical Theatre. This is the first year this recognition program has been open to students in Bell County. We are pleased to have recieved several nominations in our first year of participation, have students represent their campus as featured performers and technicians and even bring home the award for best scenic design. Congratulations to our featured performers and technicians: Hadassah Moon, Zachary Repine, Saturn Boulding (Chaparral HS), Brayden Johnson, Skyler Jiminez (Harker Heights HS), nominees: Brayden Johnson (Training Scholarship) HHHS, Ava Morgan (Supporting Performer), Marlee Luther and Alexandra Madera (Featured Performer), Saturn Boulding (Stage Management) and Ms. Dunaway and the Technical Theatre Students (Scenic Design), CHS. We are also thrilled to celebrate that our technicians at Chaparral High School brought home the award for best Scenic Design (accepted by Armie Melton and Saturn Boulding) and Brayden Johnson was awarded a training scholarship. 🎨 Early College HS at TAMUCT-Night of the Arts Early College High School students participated in Warrior Week with Texas A&M University–Central Texas by displaying artwork in the “Night of the Arts” exhibit. 🖼️ Their work represented the creativity and effort of our students and was shared with the community!
